  • About IRPSI Journal
The International Review of Philanthropy and Social Investment is an interdisciplinary academic journal that publishes cutting-edge research on philanthropy and social investment, with a particular focus on Africa. It was established by the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment (CAPSI) at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. The journal covers a wide range of topics related to how philanthropy and social investments impact economic development, social welfare, and corporate social responsibility.

This journal provides a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to explore the emerging fields of philanthropy and social investment, fostering discourse on their role in addressing societal and developmental challenges. The journal also bridges the gaps between theory and practice both in the philanthropic and private sector spheres, and it is an essential resource for academics, researchers, policy makers and practitioners in this growing field of human behavior.

The International Review of Philanthropy and Social Investment welcomes original research articles, review articles, case studies, notes comments, book reviews as well as experiences from the field. At times, special issues will be considered especially emerging out of key conferences and scholarly engagements.
